This award is intended to recognise the work carried out by individuals, institutions, NGOs and other entities that promote the education of young girls and women. The award winners must make a contribution towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 5 (Gender Equality). Applications until 24-05-2024.

The UNESCO Prize for Girls' and Women's Education is available for applications until 24-05-2024. Candidate projects should focus on the 5 priority areas: Participation; Literacy; Environment; Teachers; Skills.

Nomination: Only governments of UNESCO member states and/or NGOs with an official partnership with UNESCO can submit a nomination. If you are interested, submit your application to a nominating organisation.
