A trained manager and engineer, Miguel Franco holds leadership positions in a German company in Portugal. He has always invested heavily in his education, starting with a degree in Management at Católica Porto Business School, an MBA in Marketing at Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, and then investing in engineering training. He began his training in Electrical Engineering, at both undergraduate and master's level, and later completed his PhD in Engineering at FEUP's Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Porto.
Miguel has a long connection to the world of non-profit organizations, in governance and other roles, which he holds or has held in organizations such as the Luso-German Chamber of Commerce, the Association of the German College of Porto, the Commercial Association of Porto, AIMMAP, the Rotary Club, the Association of St. Bartholomew of the Germans of Lisbon.
