Portugal faces an urgent challenge: investing in long-term care. The 2021 Report sounds the alarm, highlighting demographic ageing and the growing need for care. The RNCCI model strives for quality, but affordability remains an obstacle. With public spending below the EU average, national strategy and support for informal carers emerge as vital in an ageing and challenged Europe.
